This new development is almost done, and is pre-leasing now in anticipation of spring move-ins. It includes 106 affordable apartments, 86 for people earning 60 percent of the median family income or lower and 19 deeply subsidized for people earning 30 percent or lower.

Formerly, the location was a private urban park owned by the adjacent St. Francis church.

2350 S.E. 37th Ave.PAMPLIN MEDIA GROUP: JULES ROGERS - The site was formerly home to a 1915 warehouse.

This four-story development has plans to include 30 residential units with a 2,000 square foot retail space on the ground floor.

Grand Opening:

Orchard Supply HardwarePAMPLIN MEDIA GROUP: JULES ROGERS - The Goat Blocks project is a double superblock development with multiple buildings separated by walkways and anchored by Market of Choice and Orchard Hardware, shown under construction earlier this year.

When: Friday, May 19, noon

Where: 1020 S.E. 10th Ave.

Now that the Goat Blocks along Belmont are complete, the Orchard Hardware grand opening is a great chance to check out the retail alley with a view of the city. Throughout the weekend, the store is hosting family-friendly activities and entertainment for shoppers including a live DJ, t-shirt press and gift card giveaways.
