Feeling thankful and optimistic as year turns
Brought to you by Margaret Norman, Beaverton Lodge Retirement Residence - Retirement Living INSIDER -
As we end the year, I am deeply grateful for our community of cherished residents and staff members and looking forward to the new year.
Beaverton Lodge -- an independent, locally owned retirement living community founded in 1988 -- offers comfort in continuity and delight in the unfolding seasons throughout the year.
Situated along a tranquil portion of Beaverton Creek, the landscape is home to local creatures such as ducks and a large variety of bird species. Our residents love the walking paths and gardens, with plenty of benches on which to stop, sit and enjoy the beauty and sounds. A few blocks away are the Beaverton Library and the Elsie Stuhr senior center.
Residents find all the features one would want in a retirement community: large apartments with storage closets; a full-service dining room; a mineral saline pool and spa; and a movie theater with fresh popcorn.
Family and friends are welcome to stroll through the golden gallery, where local artists showcase their paintings and other art.
In the spring and summer, residents tend their raised-bed gardens, which produce tomatoes, corn, cucumbers and squash. The Beaverton Farmers Market is just a few blocks away, with fresh local homegrown produce.
We offer a full activity program, weekly housekeeping and linen, scheduled transportation, and resident managers on call 24 hours a day all with an affordable month-to-month rent.
I look forward to meeting new residents this year. Stop by for a complimentary lunch and tour of our community.
