Farmers Market offering natural skin-care products
Beaverton Farmers Market, located across from the Beaverton Library in the heart of downtown Beaverton, is a healthy and fun destination for the whole family.
The Winter Market opened Feb. 4 and continues every Saturday from 10 am to 1:30 pm.
More than 40 vendors are scheduled for the Winter Market, including countless produce and meat vendors, restaurant and hot-beverage booths, wineries, breweries and of course, bakeries.
New to the market's lineup are natural skin-care products. We feel that what you put on your body is as important as what you put into it.
We will bring in vendors who focus on natural and sustainable ingredients and processes. Our first vendor, Violet Sanctuary, makes handmade herbal body care products.
Kids, don't forget to check in at the Market Sprouts booth to receive a passport and clue list. Children search around the market for things such as "root vegetables," "duck eggs" or the "many colors of beets." The farmer initials their passport and kids head back to the info booth for a sticker or a prize.
Market Sprouts' big kickoff will happen in May, unveiling a schedule of activities for the summer.
Early March should bring spring flowering bulbs to the market such as tulips, daffodils and lilies.
