Self-defense class for women slated
Naga Martial Arts will offer a class titled, #MeToo Self Defense for Survivors of Sexual Assault, from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24.
"Women around the country are speaking up and naming their abusers," said instructor Silvia Smart in a press release. "Many women who have been victims of sexual assault are still trying to find their voices. This class is a catalyst for women who want to move from victimhood to empowerment in a supportive environment."
The class will offer self-defense skills, prevention strategies and verbal self-defense techniques. It will be held at 12230 S.W. Broadway St., Beaverton.
