Beaverton turns 125! Mayor Denny Doyle, embraced by city mascot Billie the Beaver, unveils a cake in honor of the city's incorporation on Feb. 10, 1893, when there were just 400 residents. From left are Councilors Cate Arnold, Lacey Beaty, Mark Fagin and Marc San Soucie. A humorous video aired at the ceremony in the council chambers depicted people trying to pronounce "quasquicentennial," the word for 125th anniversary.
