The annual Art in the Burbs fundraiser is looking for middle and high school students looking to get their artwork out in the community.

Organizers with the annual fundraiser — which raises money for art programs in the Tigard-Tualatin School District — are asking students to submit work for its T-shirt design contest.

Held at Alberta Rider Elementary School on Bull Mountain every autumn, the three-day art sale puts the work of more than 80 local artists on display.

Twenty percent of the proceeds from the art show will go into a special arts grant for the district, which helps to pay for everything from drums and xylophones to drawing paper and pottery kilns.

Students will design T-shirts to be sold at the event.

Art in the Burbs runs Friday, Oct. 18, to Sunday, Oct. 20.
