Beaverton Celebration Parade needs a theme
Residents are invited to brainstorm on ideas to shape community event
Beaverton residents are invited to submit ideas for the theme of this years Beaverton Celebration Parade.
Ideas must be submitted by Friday, June 20, at 5 p.m.
The theme winner will receive a prize package that includes a celebrity ride in the 57th annual parade on Saturday, Sept. 6. The winner will be notified the last week of June.
This contest allows one of our residents to put his or her own touch on a long-standing community tradition, said Mayor Denny Doyle. Its fun that residents can participate and help shape our annual celebration.
The Beaverton Celebration Parade began in 1957 and has grown into a neighborhood tradition.
Residents can submit their ideas by sending:
A letter to City of Beaverton, Attn: Victor Sin, Events Coordinator, P.O. Box 4755, Beaverton 97076
A fax to 503-526-2479.
Residents can also drop off ideas in-person to the Mayors Office located on the third floor of City Hall, 4755 S.W. Griffith Drive.
