When it comes to surviving the holiday season, Ice Cube has some sage advice for all of us: Check yourself before you wreck yourself. With TONS of parties, informal get-togethers, and special events, the holidays are the most difficult time of the year for you when it comes to staying on track with your fitness goals.
So how do you endure the holiday season and all those parties? We have a few ideas:
KEEP EXERCISING! Every day, even if it's just a quick jog or a brisk walk.
Wear your fitness tracker and make sure you are getting your steps every day. This is harder with the weather, but that's why we have treadmills at Club Fit!
Get your sleep! More sleep=less cravings=more willpower.
DRINK WATER! Make sure you're getting 80 oz per day.
Stay on board Monday—Friday with good nutrition, and allow yourself a little room to splurge on the weekends for holiday get-togethers.
STAY AWAY from mall and restaurant foods! Have a nutritious meal at home before you head out shopping.
NO EXCUSES! The holidays are our favorite time to make any and every excuse to skip out on exercise or to ruin our diet with lots of poor eating choices.
Don't let yourself fall victim to the malaise of the holidays. Stay vigilante in your nutrition choices and with your exercise routine. Follow these tips, and you'll head into 2018 healthier than ever.
