Legion auxiliary preparing for breakfast

The Canby American Legion Auxiliary will hold its annual breakfast to benefit the Mount Hood Search and Rescue Team Sunday, Sept. 8, from 8:30-11:30 a.m.

Breakfast will consist of bacon, sausage, chicken friend steak or ham, hot cakes, hash browns, eggs to order with coffee, milk and juice for $6 for adults, $3 for children ages 10-under.

The breakfast will be at 424 NW First Ave. Use the Fir Street entrance.

Saturday market continues schedule

Canby Saturday Market is open every Saturday in the Canby Cinema 8 parking lot behind Cutsforth’s Thriftway. Hours will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Pickleball group wants to expand play to all levels

A group in Canby is offering open pickleball play for all skill levels.

Currently, the group plays Thursday mornings at the Canby First Baptist Church gym but is open to starting new play times depending on what is needed.

Every Tuesday is bingo at Canby Adult Center

The Canby Adult Center’s bingo game runs from 1-4 p.m. Tuesdays. Doors open at noon.

There are 10 regular games, four specials and a weekly blackout game. The first regular packet is $5 and the second is $3. There’s also a blackout pot of $200 and weekly raffles.

Canby Adult Center is at 1250 S. Ivy St.

Aurora Unit 110 offers monthly flea market

The Aurora Unit 110, American Legion Auxiliary holds its First Saturday of the Month flea market Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The hall is at 21510 Main St. in Aurora.

Vendors' tables are upstairs and down; admission is free but visitors are encouraged to take an item for the food barrel. Lunch will be available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
