To the editor:
As if we needed even more evidence of the "interesting" times in which we live, every year since 1937 the Boy Scouts Of America have invited the sitting president to speak at its National Jamboree. Some presidents attend, some do not.
This year is noteworthy for being the first time that the head of the Boy Scouts Of America had to offer an apology to the American public and to our Scouting families for a speech given by this current president.
To use the words of this current president - "Sad."
