The Oregon Eclipse 2017 music festival was one of the largest events in Crook County History.
The Music Festival was scheduled to coincide with the total eclipse of the sun, which occurred on Monday, Aug. 21.
The event, which was held on Big Summit Prairie, near Prineville was a collaborative effort of 14 different groups.
Spearheaded by Symbiosis, a northern California Music Festival the world-wide collaboration saw attendees from all over the world.
Bass Coast Festival (Canada), Beloved Festival (Oregon), Envision Festival (Costa Rica), Hadra (France), Lightning in a Bottle (California), Noisily (UK), Ometeotl (Mexico), Origin (South Africa), Rainbow Serpent (Australia), ReBirth (Japan), Science and Non Duality (California), Sonic Bloom (Colorado), Universo Paralello (Brazil) and Symbiosis Gathering all contributed to the event.
More than 350 bands as well as circus performers, science demonstrations, lectures, wellness seminars, yoga, art instillations, live demonstrations and many more activities were included at the event, which was held on private property in the Ochoco Mountains.
Although the event concluded on Thursday, Aug. 24 at last report there were still more than 3,000 participants camped on the prairie.
