Looking forward to 2014

Rebound Physical Therapy needs winter warriors to join their upcoming challenge

Good riddance to 2013? As I sit here writing this column and reflect on the past year, I find that I am not alone in saying good riddance to 2013. There are articles on the web regarding a recent poll conducted by AP-Times Square showing that, in general, Americans will be glad to have 2013 in the rear-view mirror and are looking forward to a better 2014, both professionally and personally.

At the Central Oregonian, we are looking forward to working with the Prineville-Crook County Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center publishing a Chamber Directory. The chamber members have wanted a Chamber Directory for as many years as I can remember and thanks to Holli Van Wert, Executive Director, Prineville-Crook County Chamber of Commerce, they will be getting what they have asked for. Tony Ahern, publisher of the Central Oregonian, Holli, and I met a couple of months ago and went over what was to be included and determined elements such as the chamber roster, economic and business information, recreation, dining guide, lodging guide, calendar of events, and an advertisers' index, to name a handful.

The Chamber Directory will be a full color, glossy magazine publication that will be distributed in the Central Oregonian, through the chamber, and many other high traffic locations.

Members of the chamber, as well as non-members, have received emails with information on how to be a part of this publication. Not a member of the chamber? You still have time to become a member by contacting Holli at 541-447-6304 prior to Jan. 17 and see how you and your business can become a member and the benefits of doing so.

If you have any questions or have not received the information by email, you can contact the Central Oregonian at 541-447-6205 or email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

So, whether or not your 2013 was a grand year or one you would just as soon forget, it is time to say goodbye to 2013 and remember a New Year is on its way and the possibilities are endless.
