What’s Brewing? This week’s community forum will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 19 from 7 to 8 a.m. at Meadow Lakes Restaurant. This week’s speaker will be Jim Foster, OSU Professor of Political Science, and he'll speak on Guns and the Constitution. The community forum is free and open to the public, breakfast is available.

Stahancyk, Kent & Hook is proud to announce that Erica B. Strader has joined the firm as an associate attorney.

Strader graduated from the University of Oregon School of Law in 2013. While in law school, she worked as a judicial extern for the Lane County Circuit Court. Before joining Stahancyk, Kent & Hook, Strader worked in the Deschutes County District Attorney's Office where she appeared in court on behalf of the state for a number of criminal matters. Strader has also previously interned for the Crook County Counsel in Prineville and the Office of the City Attorney in Bend. Before moving to Oregon, Strader worked as a U.S. Senate staffer, and later as director of government affairs for an aviation association in Washington, D.C. Erica is excited for the new challenges working at Stahancyk, Kent & Hook will bring. She says, “I look forward to working at SK&H and being a part of the team.”

Erica is an active member of the Oregon State Bar, Oregon Women Lawyers Association, and Deschutes County Bar Association.

The High Desert Museum will be holding another free family admission this Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The free family admission program is offered courtesy of Mid Oregon Credit Union and supports the educational mission of Mid Oregon Credit Union. The program provides families the opportunity to explore the wildlife and living history of Central Oregon.
