What’s Brewing? This week’s community forum will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 26 from 7 to 8 a.m. at Meadow Lakes Restaurant. This week’s speaker will be Kev Alexanian, Crook County Weed Warrior on “How to identify and control noxious weeds.” The community forum is free and open to the public, breakfast is available.

Slater Chiropractic will be collecting donation through Feb. 28 and would like to challenge other businesses in Crook County to hold a food drive to benefit the new Craig’s Compassionate Café (formerly the Oasis). Bend contractor E2 Solar and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) are hosting a free workshop on Tuesday, March 4 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Crook County Library, 175 N.W. Meadow Lakes Dr. The workshop is open to the public and will outline state and federal programs that help fund solar energy installations for rural small businesses and farms.
