Candy Crawl participants sought for upcoming annual community Halloween event

The Bowman Museum and Friends of the Crook County Library continue their October Saunders Memorial Lecture Series this Thursday, Oct. 12 at 6:30 p.m. The series will be each Thursday evening throughout October with a different topic and speaker each week. This week, John Zancanella, a retired BLM Prineville archaeologist, will present "Recent Discoveries of Ancient Mammoth Rubs in the High Desert of Oregon." The Crook County Foundation "What's Brewing?" will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 11 at Meadow Lakes Restaurant, 300 SW Meadow Lakes Drive, from 7 to 8 a.m.

Kevin Barclay, of Central Oregon Arts and Culture Alliance, will lead the conversation that will change the way you view arts and culture in our community.
