Eagle/Loggers fall to Grizzlies

Gilchrist jumps out to big early lead en route to 62-45 victory over Mitchell/Spray

Mitchell/Spray jumped out to an early 2-0 lead over host Gilchrist. However, it was the last lead that the Eagle/Loggers would have.

Led by 17 first-half points from Trinton Koch, the Grizzlies jumped out to a 19-8 lead at the end of the first quarter and led 36-19 by halftime.

Although the two teams played even during the second half, Mitchell/Spray was never able to make a serious run as Gilchrist remained in control of the contest.

With the win, the Grizzlies moved their record to 4-0 on the season while the Eagle/Loggers fell to 3-3.

Mitchell/Spray does not play again until they travel to Portland to take on Dufur in the first round of the three-day 1A Hoops Classic on Thursday, Jan. 2.
