The secret of going from good to great
Hi everyone, I just wanted to remind you all about the secret to losing fat and going from feeling good to feeling GREAT.
First, you should be eating every three hours, whether you hungry or not! I recommend that you consume three quarters of a gram of protein per pound of your ideal body weight. Divide that number by five, and this is the amount of protein that you should be taking in every three hours. Make sure to drink at least 2 liters of water every day as well!
You should also decrease your carbohydrate intake with every meal after breakfast. We often make dinner our biggest meal of the day, but it should actually be your meal with the fewest amount of carbs!
I usually don't worry about fat content, because if you're eating the way that I recommend every day you'll be looking to take in more fat! Stick to lean meats for your intake and you'll be just fine.
Every week you should be getting in four days of cardiovascular exercise at the perceived exertion rate, where you can hold a conversation for 25-30 minutes. Add in 2 day per week of full body resistance training to hit all your major muscle groups.
Feeling great is a three-legged stool: Exercise, Rest, and Nutrition, and nutrition is 75% of the equation! So eat properly and exercise regularly and you will rest AWESOME.
