“We’ve never had the level of excitement and anticipation for one of our musicals like this one is enjoying,” he said.

Last Easter season the choir presented “Who Do You Say I Am” with two concerts on Palm Sunday weekend at Sunnyside Community Church. Their Christmas musical, “The Invitation,” was presented two nights at Happy Valley Baptist.

There is no cost for participation in the all-volunteer choir. The independent, interdenominational organization has participants from Sandy to Hillsboro, and Oregon City to Portland.

In addition to singers, the choir needs support personnel to handle lights, videotaping and other miscellaneous tasks.

Rehearsals are at 3:30 p.m. on Sundays at Happy Valley Baptist Church, 14095 S.E. King Road. Any questions can be directed to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or 503-698-4765.
