Senior dogs 'on sale' through May 3

Clackamas County Dog Services (CCDS) is offering a 75 percent discount on adoption fees for all dogs 6 years and older through Saturday, May 3.

Adoptions are available from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday at the CCDS Animal Adoption and Education Center, 13141 S.E. Highway 212, Clackamas.

CCDS staff will be on hand to help people find the perfect canine companion. Dogs available for adoption can be viewed in advance at clackamas.us/dogs, where adoption application forms also are available.

Dog Services assistant manager Tamara Moxon says there are some real advantages to adopting a senior dog.

“Older dogs,” Moxon said, “are more likely to be already house-trained, have learned many of the other rules about living in a home.”
