Interested in going to the dogs? Clackamas County Dog Services is holding a volunteer orientation from 5 to 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 21.

The orientation will be at the Animal Adoption and Education Center, 13141 S.E. Highway 212, Clackamas.

At the orientation, participants will learn more about CCDS and the Clackamas Dogs Foundation, take a tour of the center, and have a chance to sign up for volunteer opportunities.

Volunteers must be 18 or older, or can be youths who volunteer with their parents or want to do community-based projects to support the center. CCDS provides a variety of dog services, including licensing; sick, injured and emergency dog rescue; pet protective custody, bite investigations, quarantine of dogs that have bitten and are not rabies vaccinated; inspection of dog kennels; obedience classes; pet first-aid classes; and spay/neuter services.
