Artists in all disciplines are invited to apply to participate in a rare full-day opportunity to privately commune with and be inspired by the "glorious scale and ghostly remains" of the former Blue Heron paper mill on Friday, Oct. 3.

The Clackamas County Arts Alliance Artists Exhibit Program will offer two exhibit opportunities based on this experience, accompanied by an artist reception and region-wide promotion and marketing. One resulting work will be honored with a cash award of $500 if it "memorably and effectively captures, evokes and conveys the spirit of this unique place."

To apply, download the online application at Deadline to apply is 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3. A $30 participation fee will be charged, payable upon notice of committee selection decisions.
