Four arsons in late May along Southeast 82nd Drive are believed to be the work of one person, and the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office this week released surveillance video in an effort to enlist the public's help to catch the suspect.
The first fire was set May 25 and the other three were started the next day in quick succession around 1:30 a.m., authorities said. Those incidents are:
— On Thursday, May 25, a dumpster fire was set at Pacific Pride, 10011 S.E. Highway 212.
— Around 1:30 a.m. on Friday, May 26, a small pile of garbage was lit on fire on the north side of the DHS/CrossFit Timber building, 16440 S.E. 82nd Drive.
— A dumpster fire was reported behind Elmer's Restaurant, 16087 S.E. 82nd Drive. While responding to the fire at DHS, dispatchers advised Clackamas Fire's Truck 8 of this fire at Elmer's.
— Landscaping was set on fire on the east side of ProBuild, 15877 S.E. 98th Ave. Clackamas Fire's Truck 8 arrived and found the fire had been extinguished by an employee with a dry chemical extinguisher.
