Oregon City man allegedly steals Maserati, drives to Happy Valley
Harold Reichard Cubbedge, 51, of Oregon City, was arrested June 20 while driving a stolen 2016 Maserati Ghibli near Southest 147th Ave and Misty Drive in Happy Valley, police say.
Police identified a second suspect as Corey John Smith, a 27-year-old white man, 6-foot-1 and weighing 215 pounds, with a possible address outside Oregon City.
County deputies say they have found evidence in the stolen vehicle that Cubbedge was involved in at least 11 different thefts from Portland, Damascus, Gresham, Happy Valley and unincorporated Clackamas County. They are working on contacting victims to return the stolen property.
Deputies said they acted on tips from the public to locate the Maserati that had been reported stolen from Washington County.
Cubbedge was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, first-degree theft, identity theft and meth possession. Bail was set at $100,000.
The Maserati was returned to its owner at the scene. Two Clackamas County cities, Happy Valley and Wilsonville, contract with the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office to provide municipal police services.
