A man who was riding his bicycle was taken to the hospital after being hit Tuesday morning by a man driving a Mazda CX-5 station wagon near the intersection of Oatfield Road and McNary Road in Oak Grove.
The bicyclist was seen talking with paramedics on scene. Clackamas County Sheriff's Office spokesman Sgt. Brian Jensen said the the bicyclist likely suffered no major injuries.
"His helmet was cracked, so they're probably going to check his head just to make sure everything's is OK," Jensen said.
Jensen said that there probably won't be any citations issued in the case, since the vehicle's driver could have been blinded by harsh sunlight and dark shadows on the roadway.
"It's probably the car's fault, but you can kind of see how it happened," Jensen said.
Names of the people involved in the crash have not yet been released.
