Man taken to OHSU after McLoughlin Boulevard crash
A 73-year-old woman was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device Sept. 26 after she reportedly tried to cross McLoughlin Boulevard at Boardman Avenue and hit a motorcyclist.
According to Oregon State Police, Mamie C. Dec was heading eastbound at 11:40 a.m. in her turquoise Toyota Prius when she hit a 20-year-old man who was heading nothbound on McLoughlin (Highway 99E). He was transported to OHSU for injuries by American Medical Response ambulance. His green Kawasaki motorcycle was towed from the scene by All Ways Towing.
The impact of the motorcycle against the Prius appeared to tear a molding from the side of the vehicle. According to witnesses in front of Pete's Tavern, a TriMet bus directly behind the motorcyclist may have video footage of the incident.
