Jeremy Christian denied bail in MAX slayings case
A judge on Nov. 20 denied bail for Jeremy Christian, the accused killer of two on a MAX train in May.
During a bail hearing, graphic details of the MAX stabbing were shared in court, including prosecutors saying Christian carried out 11 stabs in 11 seconds.
A Portland police detective described the stabbings that day and showed Judge Cheryl A. Albrecht the photos from TriMet video and cell phone video recorded during the attack.
The defense presented video from the MAX along with a timeline of events during the incident.
Christian is accused of killing Happy Valley's Ricky Best and 2016 Reed College graduate Taliesin Myrddin Namkai-Meche and severely wounding Micah Fletcher on May 26 while onboard a TriMet MAX train as it pulled into the Hollywood Transit Station in Northeast Portland.
