The victim told police that he had been near Jumbo Restaurant and Lounge prior to the stabbing

KOIN 6 NEWS PHOTO - An undated photo of a Milwaukie Police Department vehicle. Milwaukie police are investigating a stabbing that apparently took place on the Springwater trail near the 5000 block of Southeast Johnson Creek Boulevard.

The suspect was described as a "transient" in police reports but has yet to be identified.

At approximately 2:30 a.m. March 21, a man in his 20s arrived at Providence Milwaukie Hospital, where he was treated for multiple stab wounds. The victim was later transported to Legacy Emanuel Hospital where he was treated and released.

The victim told police that he had been near Jumbo Restaurant and Lounge, 4427 S.E. Johnson Creek Blvd., prior to the stabbing.

Police say that the victim's name is not being released at this time, as the investigation is ongoing.
