Oregon City High School’s top summer girls basketball team, Oregon City Black, polished off a tremendous summer with a fifth place finish in the Gold National Bracket of the Music City Madness Tournament, held in Nashville, Tenn, July 22-25.

The Pioneers went 4-2 in the tournament, with wins over Illinois Rush (74-50), Arizona Magic (64-46), Way to Win Gold (66-56) and Wisconsin Prestige (71-64), and two losses to Illinois Platinum (60-53 and 61-47).

N’Dea Flye and Taylor Shaw were selected to the all-tournament team.

Oregon City finished the summer with an overall record of 41-5.

Oregon City point guard Cierra Walker played for the Oregon Elite in the Nashville tournament, instead of for Oregon City. Walker was named the tournament MVP and Oregon Elite won first place in the Diamond National Bracket, defeating St. Louis Blue Star in the final.
