A Gresham resident was found dead in the Mt. Hood National Forest this morning.
Nolan Scoggins, 78, was reported missing by family members on Monday, March 6, after making a trip to the Estacada area to gather wood. The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, search and rescue volunteers and family members participated in the search.
On Tuesday, March 7, several hours after Scoggins' 1998 Gold Buick Century was found on a forest service road outside of the Ripplebrook area, Scroggins was found deceased approximately two miles from his vehicle.
