No sign of missing Estacada teen after ground search
This morning, members of the Sandy Police Department completed a ground search of the north bank of the Clackamas River for Estacada resident Brandon Powell, after he was reported missing yesterday. No sign of Powell was found.
The search was based on Powell's last known location and not any new information.
Later today, the Clackamas County Marine Patrol will conduct a search of the riverbank by boat.
Between 5:30-5:45 a.m. Sunday, March 12, eighteen-year-old Powell left his home in the 400 block of Southwest Ivy Road. He was wearing blue pajama pants and no shirt or shoes. It was reported that he began having a panic attack after using a controlled substance known as "dab."
Powell attends Clackamas Community College's Oregon City Campus and has friends in the Sandy and Wilsonville areas. He is described as a light skinned black male, is 6 feet 1 inches tall and weighs 175 pounds. He has brown eyes and curly brown hair.
Police ask that anyone who is able to get in touch with Powell call 911. Those who have information on his location should call the Sandy Police Tip Line at 503-489-2195.
