Nicholas David Benim was located on Wednesday, Nov. 1, after reported as missing earlier in the week

Nicholas David Benim, from Molalla, was located yesterday after he was reported as lost around Hideaway Lake near Estacada. Benim was located west of the search area by U.S. Forest Service personnel around 3:52 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1. Officials reported that he is in "ok" condition.

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office was alerted of his disappearance Monday, Oct. 30, around 9 a.m. and Search and Rescue officers began their search soon after.

The 34-year-old hunter was last seen Sunday, Oct. 29, around 5 p.m. when he separated from his hunting group. His friends expected he'd return, but haven't heard from him since.

Benim was wearing tan pants and a bright orange jacket at the time of his departure and he was carrying a backpack.

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office collaborated with Pacific Northwest Search and Rescue, the U.S. Forest Service, Mountain Wave Communications and Mountain Wave Canine.
