Community Open House
City leaders will host a Community Open House to discuss walking and bicycling im-
provements for Estacada's Active Transportation Plan
from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, at City Hall, 475 S.E. Main St.
Through a partnership with the Clackamas County Arts Alliance and Todos Juntos, students at Estacada Middle School have been using photography as a medium for visual storytelling and identity exploration. Photographs from these students will be on display from Thursday, Nov. 30, through Wednesday, Dec. 10. There will be a reception for students to discuss their work from 5-6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30.
Lights on Broadway
The city's annual tree lighting celebration will take place from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, at Harvest Market Square in downtown Estacada.
Christmas Festival of the Choirs
The 24th annual Christmas Festival of the Choirs is scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at the Estacada Auditorium, 500 N.E. Main St. Singers and choir groups come from local churches and schools. One of the choirs is comprised of local singers who perform selections from Handel's "The Messiah" and is seeking additional singers. All vocal ranges are welcome. Rehearsals for this choir are at 7 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 30498 S.E. Eagle Creek Road.
Estacada Assembly of God will present "Double Take," a Christmas musical, at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10, at 478 N.W. Wade St. Doors open at 6 p.m., and light refreshments will follow in the fellowship hall.
Children's Bible Class
Bible Release, hosted by Estacada Assembly of God, is a multi-church program for children in kingerdarten through fifth grade that runs from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Wednesdays through April 25. The program features Bible classes and singing. Transportation is provided to and from Estacada Assembly of God. For more information, contact Brian Simmons at 503-630-2247. The Estacada Garden Club meets from 1-3 p.m. the second Thursday of the month in the Flora Room at the Estacada Public Library, 825 N.W. Wade St. Visitors and new members are welcome.

The Estacada spinning and fiber arts group meets from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Fridays at Betty Veveiros CPA, 309 S.W. Highway 224.
The Estacada Area Food Bank is open from 10-11:45 a.m. and 12:30-3:45 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays. Food is available monthly to community members in Estacada, Eagle Creek, Colton, Carver and Barton who met income requirements. A-Z storytime is scheduled for 11 a.m. to noon every Wednesday. The event is an opportunity for children ages infant to 4 to learn the alphabet through reading, singing and playing.
The Me & My Preschool Storytime Playgroup takes place from 10:30 a.m. to noon every Friday.
Music and Movement Storytime
Me & My Music, a music and movment focused storytime, is held from 11 a.m. to noon on Mondays. The program helps children develop early literacy skills through sound and rhythm using song, story and intruments.
The Lego club meets from 11 a.m to 1 p.m. from September to December on the third Saturday of the month. Come make amazing LEGO creations with Guru Blair.
The Get Crafty group meets at the library from 2-3:30 p.m. on Wednesdays through Dec. 27. The group meets to relax and socialize with others while crafting. Warm tea is provid-ed.

The Center needs volunteers for many different jobs, including Meals on Wheels drivers, drivers to medical appointments, kitchen and dining room help, answering phones and greeting visitors, and yard work. Call 503-630-7454 for more information on how to volunteer.
Weekday lunches and games
Lunch is served in the center's dining room for all ages at noon on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, with full salad bar on Tuesdays and Fridays. Donations are suggested for seniors; lunch is $4 for those under 60. Chicken foot dominoes follows Monday and Thursday lunches.
