Chamber of Commerce hosts an evening of fun
Spring Gala attendees packed the elegant banquet room of the Clackamas River RV Park as they enjoyed all the event had to offer.
Held Saturday, April 14, the event was the annual fundraiser for the Estacada Chamber of Commerce and featured dinner, along with a silent and live auction.
Local musicians Rick & Barb provided a soundtrack to the evening as attendees chatted with old friends and met new faces in the room surrounded by evergreen trees at the RV park. Culinary students from Timber Lake Job Corps served dinner, and Fearless Brewing provided its Clackamas River ale.
Bob Jones and Aaron Neldner led the event's live auction, during which attendees vied for the opportunity to be a brewer's assistant for the day, a stay at Wonser Woods estate, an afternoon on a party boat at Promontory Park Marina and a ski boat on the Willamette River, and a trap shooting session, among other items.
Sponsors of this year's Spring Gala included Portland General Electric, Paul Strobel of State Farm and Rep. Bill Kennemer.
Proceeds from the event support the chamber's marketing efforts for members throughout the year.
The gala's inaugural event was last year at the Estacada Community Center. Chamber President Brent Dodrill noted that the event would likely move from the banquet room to an even bigger venue next year because of its popularity.
