Tea to honor women entrepreneurs

The fifth annual Diamond Tea will take place from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5 at the Nines Hotel, 525 S.W. Morrison St., Portland.

More than 250 women are expected to attend the event, which features a modern English-style high tea, activities and exhibitor booths. The 2013 Quintessential Woman Award will be presented to a businesswoman who has shared her talents and gifts with other women facing adversity.

The Diamond Tea is an annual event connecting mission-inspired women entrepreneurs from Portland and southwest Washington in a social and philanthropic atmosphere. Attendees will hear from others and network among women who have created successful and sustainable businesses.

The tea is also a fundraiser for Deceptions/AWARE, a local nonprofit that works to prevent sex trafficking and to educate children on Internet safety. For more information, tickets or to inquire about exhibitor space, visit or call 1-360-600-6732.
