Play a round of golf in honor of one of the early movers and shakers in the community while also helping contribute to an important community charity.
The Sam Wolsborn Memorial Golf Tourney will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, at Gresham Golf Course, 2155 N.E. Division St.
The cost is $45 per player, including cart rental, or $30 for duffers who prefer to walk. Proceeds will be used to support SnowCap Community Charities, which helps feed and support the less fortunate in East Multnomah County.
Put together a foursome or register as a single player. Spots are limited, so sign-up early at www.snowcap.org/golf.html.
If you don't make it into the tournament, Gresham Golf will also donate all green fees that day to SnowCap.
The tournament is named in honor of Wolsborn, who helped form SnowCap while also building the golf course, which is still run by his family.
The tournament is held every year on the anniversary of the course's opening.
