IN BRIEF: Gresham man, 30, reported as missing
Gresham police are asking for the public's help in locating 30 year-old Cory Allen Watkins. He was last known to be near Crater Lake in southern Oregon on Tuesday, Nov. 14, and last spoke with his family on Thursday, Nov. 16. He planned to travel to Toketee Falls in the Umpqua National Forest before returning to Gresham to spend Thanksgiving with family.
He did not appear for Thanksgiving, and his family and friends are concerned for his well-being, believing he may be lost, police said.
Watkins is 6 feet tall and weighs approximately 195 pounds. He drives a blue, 1996 Subaru Legacy with Oregon license plate 292HTE.
Anyone with information about Watkins' whereabouts is encouraged to call non-emergency police dispatch at 503-823-3333.
Missing mother found after two-week search
Gresham police found Mioyuki Sanchez-Bernal, a Gresham mother missing for two weeks, safe on Tuesday, Nov. 28. She and her young son were last seen leaving Shari's restaurant on foot near Northeast Burnside Road and Northeast Hogan Dr. on Tuesday, Nov. 14. Her 1-year-old child, Uriel Sanches, was found safe on Tuesday, Nov. 21.
Three injured in crash involving semi-truck
Three people were injured in an early-morning car crash Wednesday, Nov. 29, on Northeast Marine Drive.
A semi truck collided with a sedan around 6 a.m. east of Northeast 158th Avenue, reported KOIN 6 News, an Outlook news partner.
Portland Fire and Rescue responded to the scene and used special tools to remove a person trapped inside the sedan.
