Centennial market robbed at gunpoint
A Centennial Neighborhood market was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday morning, Jan. 9.
Portland Police Bureau East Precinct officers responded to reports of the armed robbery at 9:51 a.m. at K.S. Food Mart, 15231 S.E. Division Street. Police were told the suspect displayed a handgun while demanding money. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the man fled the store without incident.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 40s, 6-feet 1-inch, between 190 and 200 pounds. He was wearing a leather jacket and grey pants, and fled the scene on a silver mountain bike with straight handlebars.
Officers searched the area but did not locate anyone matching the description.
