SPONSORED CONTENT: The lighter side of Real Estate
What does it take to be a Realtor these days? In less than 60 days online you can become a Realtor in Oregon. It was about 30 years ago I took a 30 day course to get my real estate license.
It taught me absolutely nothing about what I needed to do to be successful
and even less about sales. It didn't take long for me to learn what I really should have taken to prepare me for this career choice. I should have taken a psychology course as soon as I was done with my real estate classes.
I have been doubling as a Realtor/therapist for years now.
I know that there are people amongst us who seem normal — they drive, work, eat and attend functions. But they are far from normal.
You could be standing right next to them and never know, it could be your co-worker or good friend and unless you were in my shoes you would never have a clue as to who they really are.
I've met them, they do exist and they are currently living amongst us. They don't know they are funny, but their actions cause others to almost die laughing.
This morning I found out one of my new clients is in fact one
of those people. I turned on my computer to find an email sent
at 7 a.m.: "Hey Greg, after we see the house on Coalman at 8 a.m. can we see these 16 homes when we're done"?
I'm seriously thinking about calling in sick. It seems to work for normal people.
