LETTER: As we usher in the new let's preserve the past
I agree with my former classmate (1961) Mike McKeel that saving the facade of the Gresham High School main building is worth the effort, not merely for nostalgic reasons, but as a tribute to that period's funky Italian modern style with art deco touches.
You don't see that stuff often.
My parents (1932-33), their siblings and other family and friends went through those doors. So this little attachment to the past is worth keeping at a time when there is an attempt to erase history.
