First Friday ArtWalk — 5-9 p.m. Aug. 1, Troutdale merchants host artists and musicians, as well as offer wine tastings, along Historic Columbia River Highway.

“Here Comes the Sun” — Exhibit by the Gresham Art Committee runs through Thursday, Aug. 7. Free and open to the public, in the Public Safety and Schools Building, 1333 N.W. Eastman Parkway, open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.


Rockin’ Round the Block — Rockin’ Round the Block car show takes place from 7-9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8, when the Olympic Bed Races run on Main Avenue, and from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9.

In the bed races, teams composed of folks from local businesses compete for pride and to raise money for the Mt. Hood Community College automotive scholarship program.

Saturday’s festivities take place on Main Avenue as well.

Gresham Farmers Market — 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot at Northwest Third Street and Miller Avenue. Market is open every Saturday through Oct. 25.
