The Barlow girls put up 20 points in the fourth quarter to close out the win



by: THE OUTLOOK: DAVID BALL - Barlows Taylor Rispler forces a jump ball against Wilsons Jamie Kresl in the first quarter Friday night. PORTLAND — The Barlow girls basketball team responded in crunch time Friday night to score a 55-50 win at Wilson.

The teams traded the lead several times early in the fourth quarter before the Bruins pulled away when Haylee Hutzler put up seven points in less than a minute capped when she buried an open 3 to push Barlow in front 46-39 with 3:32 left.

Wilson made in a two-point game on a long ball by Alexa Hinkley with 0:25 to play, but Barlow closed out the victory when Caitlyn Pemberton sank a pair of free throws in the final seconds.

The Bruins (2-1) are ranked No. 6 in the early-season RPI.
