The David Douglas boys basketball team was unstoppable in the second half, running away from Sandy for a 76-51 win in summer league action last Thursday.

Holding a six-point lead at halftime, the Scots broke the game open in a flash in the third quarter. Abdi Dahir hit a pair of free throws, then got loose for a fastbreak layup after a Sandy turnover. Jermaine Robinson followed by beating Sandy down the floor for another quick two, before swiping a steal and returning to the rim for another layup.

The Scots put eight points on the scoreboard in less than a minute.

And it wasn't over.

Markus Presley swished a 3-pointer from the left side to put the Scots up 23 points before Sandy's Anthony Ruiz beat the buzzer with a trey from the top of the key to break up the scoring spree.
