Raiders run away from David Douglas
Mount Hood Conference
TROUTDALE — The Reynolds football team found the end zone three times in the first quarter to make quick work on David Douglas in a 42-13 win Friday night.
Kehdon Fletcher highlighted the first half with a long touchdown catch that helped send the Raiders into halftime with a commanding 28-7 lead.
The Reynolds defense turned back a couple threats deep in its own territory to start the second half.
Now it was up to the Raiders' offense to put the game away.
Reynolds came through with a steady diet of run plays that picked up four first downs. The highlight coming when D'Andre Katz found his way through traffic and raced down the home sideline 42 yards before being tripped up at the 5.
The Raiders only pass play on the drive turned into points when QB Jaden Hawkinson fired a throw over the middle to Fletcher, who reached over the top of his defender and pulled down the 10-yard catch in the back of the end zone for a 35-7 Raiders' lead late in the third quarter.
