Barlow rookie goes a combined 7-1 across the elite singles and doubles draws at nationals

Roberts cruised through her first two bouts, outscoring her early-round opponents by a combined 60-6 before dispatching No. 4-seed Megan Carver out of University High (Wash.) 15-3, 15-7 in the semifinals. Roberts kept it rolling with a 15-7, 15-9 win over No. 3 Nikita Chauhan out of Dougherty Valley High (Calif.) in Sunday's championship match.

It was a busy weekend for Roberts, who paired with Kelsey Klinger for a run to third place in the top-tier doubles bracket, as well.
