Missing high-risk sex offender arrested in Linn County
UPDATE: A Linn County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Dustin Westling at about 9:30 p.m. on Aug. 4 just outside of Lebanon, Ore.
Washington Community Corrections is asking for help locating a high-risk sex offender.
Dustin Westling, 30, escaped court-ordered supervision on Thursday, Aug. 3, and was last located near S.E. 21st Avenue and S.E. Cypress Street in Hillsboro.
Westling has removed his monitoring bracelet, according to a news release.
Westling has served time in prison for attempting sex abuse in the first degree, sodomy in the second degree and rape in the third degree, according to the release. Westling has a "history of convictions for improper use of 9-1-1, giving false information to a police officer, theft in the first degree, contributing to the sexual delinquency of a minor and failure to register as a sex offender."
According to the release, Westling is considered a potential danger to the public. He is described as a white male with a bald or shaved head, 5 foot 9 inches tall, 200 pounds, brown eyes.
Law enforcement has asked residents not to approach Westling but to call 911.
