Liberty High School students will be performing “DREAM,” a tale of a world full of people who have forgotten to dream.

Written by Jill Dryer, who recently illustrated an animated commercial for Laika House and North Advertising of Portland, the play will make its debut on the Liberty stage the weekend before Martin Luther King Day — Jan. 20 — to celebrate dreams and the reality that ensues when dreams become reality.

The musical follows “Mr. Serious Pants,” the head mailroom inspector at a magical mail order corporation, on an accidental journey, and includes a colorful cast of characters as he ultimately realizes his own dreams.

The cast will perform “Dream” at Liberty High School, 21945 N.W. Wagon Way in Hillsboro, Thursday through Saturday, Jan. 16 to 18.

Performances are at 7:30 p.m.; general admission is $5.
