‘Crazy’ auditions set

HART Theatre will be holding auditions for the debut production of “Crazy Old Man,” written by local playwrights Tina Arth, Darrell Baker and Carl Coughlan.

The show, directed by Paul Roder, follows Noah, his family, his neighbors, his vision and the carnival that comes to town. It’s loosely based on Biblical accounts of the great flood.

No audition appointments are necessary. Auditions will consist of cold readings and a prepared song no longer than two minutes. An accompanist will be provided.

There are roles for kids, teens and adults.

Auditions will be held 6 to 8 p.m., May 4 to 6. Rehearsals will begin May 12. The show runs July 11 to Aug. 3.

Farm bureau seeks calendar photos

“Oregon’s Bounty” is an award-winning calendar produced by the Oregon Farm Bureau that features photos of agricultural production around the state.

The bureau accepts photos of Oregon agriculture from the public, including commodities, farm families, production, landscape and events. Anything that depicts the beauty, technology, culture or tradition of farming and ranching will be considered.

Horizontal-format, high-resolution images — both close-ups and panoramic views — are needed.

Photographers whose images are selected will receive a photo credit in the 2015 calendar, copies of the calendar and a year of farm bureau membership if they have not already joined the organization.

The deadline for entries is Sept. 15, 2014.
