July 14 through 16 might just be the perfect summer weekend to stick around town and take advantage of the local activities and celebrations going on.
On Friday evening, July 14, start the weekend with Hillsboro's second annual Farm to Table Dinner, a meal prepared by local eateries and served al fresco — outdoors on Main Street.
Local restaurants, chefs, farms, ranches, wineries and breweries unite to showcase and honor the agriculture of the region, and bring diners fresh food — from farm to table.
The $75 ticketed dinner runs from 6 to 8 p.m., and is a 21 and over event. Buy tickets online at www.Hillsborofarmtotable.com.
An after-party free and open to all starts at 7 p.m., with breweries and wineries on hand for pours and tastings, live music hosted by Pizzario and family lawn games hosted by Hillsboro Parks & Recreation.
The party continues in downtown Hillsboro beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 15, with the 13th annual Celebrate Hillsboro.
Head downtown for a full day of family-friendly music, arts and crafts, free health screenings, eco-friendly activities and the Saturday Farmers Market, showcasing the best of all things Hillsboro.
The event is free and open to all, with music on several stages, and plenty of activities to keep the whole family entertained. Celebrate Hillsboro runs until 4 p.m.
On Sunday, July 16, head west to Forest Grove for the 45th annual Concours d'Elegance car show.
This year's theme is "A Century of Lincoln" — celebrating 100 years of the luxurious Lincoln automobile. Also featured this year are Woodie wagons, Minis and Studebakers.
Taking place on the tree-shaded Pacific University campus, this is the longest-running Concours d'Elegance in the Pacific Northwest.
Enjoy more than 300 classic cars, live music, food, a beer garden and a wine pavilion. All proceeds will benefit the Rotary Club Foundation scholarships and community service projects.
Gates open at 8:30 a.m. and the event runs until 4:30 p.m.
Presale tickets are $17 for adults, $15 for seniors, and $5 for children ages 13-18. At the gate: $20/$18/$7.
