Amidst stiff competition, 15 athletes from Glencoe, Liberty and Century qualified for this weekend's state track and field championships at Hayward Field in Eugene — some via the meet and others via wild card selections based on times or measurements.

Six Century athletes qualified, with Poff qualifying in the 400 meters, Chance Sparks and Adrian Rodriguez in the 110 hurdles, Derek Jackson in the shot put, Meggie Karp in the 1,500 meters and Courtney Buckley in the triple jump.

Five Glencoe athletes qualified, including James Plummer in the pole vault, Sydney Larson in the javelin, Myah Jensen and Gabriella Justen in the pole vault and Ayana Ramberg in the discus.

Four Liberty athletes qualified, led by Aidan Maloney, who qualified in the 110 and 300 hurdles and long jump. The sophomore won both the 110 hurdles and long jump events at the Metro championships, while finishing second in the 300 hurdles. Other Falcon qualifiers were Henry Hamilton in the high jump, Nicol Dorciak in the 300 hurdles and Breeze Bartle in the high jump.

Jesuit swept both the boys and girls divisions. The boys tallied 182 points, Sunset was second with 135, Beaverton third with 88, Westview 74, Southridge 52, Liberty 44, Century 41, Glencoe 26 and Aloha 20.
