Sign up for Battle of the Bands

The Regional Arts & Culture Council (RACC) is accepting registrations for its second-annual Battle of the Bands competition slated for May 17 at the Crystal Ballroom.

Eight employee bands, sponsored by their companies, will vie for the title of Best Company Band and other prizes. The event will raise more than $80,000 for RACC's annual Work for Art campaign.

New this year, RACC is providing additional opportunities for local business participation through a lip sync video competition.

Tucci offers complimentary corkage

Tucci Restaurant in downtown Lake Oswego is no longer charging a corkage fee for diners wishing to bring wines from their personal collection to the restaurant to drink with their dinner.

Garden Time on air again

The Lake Oswego-based television show "Garden Time" will resume airing Saturdays, beginning March 11 at 9 a.m. on KPDX Portland; 8:30 a.m. on KEVU, Eugene; and 8:30 a.m. on KWVT in Salem. The first episode will cover ways to get rid of lawn moss; smaller varieties of fruiting plants available to the home gardener and tips for dividing perennials in the ground.

The show is produced by Lake Oswego resident Jeff Gustin.
